Syllabus Types of flight propulsion; performance parameter; efficiencies; engine architecture; change of state in engine components; thermodynamic cycle of an aero engine; inlet; nozzle; compressor; turbine; combustor; off-design performance; controls; noise production; by-pass engines; turboshaft engines; afterburner; ramjets; rocket engines.
Prerequisites for Participation Basic knowledge in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics (especially compressible flow)
