The impingement cooling test rig is used for investigations of the influence of different parameter on the cooling effectiveness of impingement jet cooling. Among other things it is possible to change the distance between the flow inlet and the impingement wall as well as the geometry of the flow inlet itself.
For this purpose air is sucked of the surrounding of the rig. With the variable impingement nozzle a jet is formed. This jet hit the heated, transparent wall.
